Member for Blair, Shayne Neumann MP, is urging eligible groups to apply for a piece of the $481.6 million Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) before the 19 December deadline.
“Regions like Ipswich and the Somerset Region help drive our economy by producing the food we eat and the products we consume,” Mr Neumann said
This funding will strengthen our region to ensure our communities have the services and infrastructure to remain great places to live, work and visit.”
The fund is designed to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities and is divided into two funding streams.
The Infrastructure Projects Stream aims to support projects which will develop infrastructure, or upgrade existing infrastructure, with a view to provide economic and social benefits to rural and remote regions.
The Community Investments Stream will support local events, community activities, strategic regional plans, and leadership and capability strengthening activities.
The BBRF partners regional communities with governments and stakeholders to builder stronger, more sustainable communities outside of major capital cities.
