The 2016 round of Volunteer Grants has opened, with up to 1,000 and 164,212 in Ipswich and the Somerset Region.
"Those funds supported Scouts groups, sporting organisations, seniors and disability support services, school P & Cs, just to name a few.
"Volunteering is a great way to stay engaged, to contribute to the success of our region and a safe place to learn new skills.
"I encourage all community organisations with volunteers to apply."
Applications for Volunteer Grants 2016 close at 1pm (Queensland time) on Tuesday, 20 December 2016.
