I had the pleasure of joining with Somerset Region Deputy Mayor Dan Hall and Officers and supporters of the Queensland Boys Brigade to officially open the newly upgraded Glengarry Education Centre at Mt Tarampa, on 13 August 2017
For over forty years, the Glengarry Education Centre has served as a camping base for the Queensland Boys' Brigade and has provided thousands of people with the opportunity to camp, explore the outdoors, and gain valuable skills and experiences.
Under this new development, the Centre will be home to many new cabins, letting more people than ever enjoy and access it. In addition, visitors will be able to take a look at the Boys' Brigade Queensland History and Memorabilia Centre: a fascinating history of the Brigade.
With this recent unveiling, the Centre is better equipped to continue their good work and provide an invaluable service to young men throughout the Somerset. Congratulations to all of the volunteers and community members whose hard work and dedication made this possible.
