Applications are now open for the Federal Government's Securing Faith-Based Places grant program.
Federal Member for Blair Shayne Neumann said the Albanese Labor Government was committed to ensuring that people of all faiths can practise their beliefs free from violence and discrimination.
"Everyone deserves to be safe while practising their religion.
"The Securing Faith-Based Places grant program provides 25,000 and $500,000 to address risks of crime and violence resulting from religious and racial intolerance.
"I encourage all eligible faith-based organisations across Ipswich, the Somerset Region and Karana Downs area to consider applying for funding," Mr Neumann said.
The program will support security infrastructure upgrades, including fencing, lighting, security cameras, traffic barriers, alarm systems, and access controls, as well as engagement of security guards.
