Member for Blair, Shayne Neumann MP, visited Marburg District and Residents Association today to congratulate President Barry Gratten on receiving $20,000 in funding for the Marburg Historical Precinct project in Round 3 of the Stronger Communities Grants Program.
“This funding will be a great help in getting our project completed and is a result of the commitment of our members and local community,” Mr Gratten said.
Member for Blair, Shayne Neumann MP, said community groups – such as Marburg District and Residents Association – are the hubs that help create much of what we love about our local communities.
“The Stronger Community Grants Program seeks to support and empower the great work so many of these organisations do in supporting and enriching our community participation,” Mr Neumann said.
The Marburg Historical Precinct will provide a tourism attraction and showcase the rich history of the local area by establishing the precinct around a large capacity community centre incorporating visitor and community facilities in addition to structures and features of historical significance.
“I congratulate Marburg District and Residents Association and wish them every success in this project and their future endeavours,” Mr Neumann said.
