The member for Blair and Shadow Minister for Veterans’ Affairs and Defence Personnel, Mr Shayne Neumann, was pleased to inform the Kilcoy RSL Sub-branch of their successful application for a grant under the Community Commemorative Grants category of the Saluting Their Service Commemorations Program.

Mr Neumann said he contacted Kilcoy RSL Vice-President, Mr John Robertson to congratulate the RSL on the successful outcome.

“I phoned Mr Robertson to inform him of the successful outcome of the grant application” Mr Neumann said.

“The Kilcoy RSL does tremendous work supporting veterans in the Somerset region. I commend the RSL on this work and encourage them to continue their very fine efforts” Mr Neumann said.

Mr Neumann also said he would continue to support the Kilcoy RSL in any capacity he could.

The successful grant outcome will see the installation of a flagpole at Mt Kilcoy State School to fly the Australian National Flag on days of commemoration.
