Member for Blair, Shayne Neumann MP, today visited another successful local organisation to receive funding under Round 3 of the Stronger Communities Grants Program.
The Returned and Services League (RSL) Ipswich Railway Sub Branch received $15,000 in funding to facilitate access for people using mobility aids, such as walking sticks, walkers and wheelchairs, to the surrounds of the Sub Branch’s monument at the Workshops Railway Museum.
These works will ensure that the ex-service community are able to participate in ceremonies and enjoy access to the great facilities already in place.
“I’m very pleased to once again be joining RSL Ipswich Railway Sub Branch for another great occasion,” Mr Neumann said.
“It was only days ago we gathered here to commemorate Remembrance Day at this wonderful monument.
“With this project I am sure we can all look forward to growing participation in commemorations and events.
“I offer my congratulations to the Office holders and membership of the RSL Ipswich Railway Sub Branch and give them my best wishes for their future endeavours.”
